The city is a complex complex, and the true appearance of the city may never have been truly grasped-it is not only a real structure built of reinforced concrete, but also a phantom that exists in consciousness and history. People's views on the city and their grasp of the truth of the city are reconstructed by their own value orientation on a collective unconscious level. This picture is a historical slice sample of the thousand-year-old city of Changsha.
The architectural evolution image of Chaozong Street from the old city wall below and Wanda highrise above, in chronological order, uses visual narrative methods to depict the changes that Changsha’s historical old street has shown during the development process of more than 100 years, and it is also a historical epitome of the entire Changsha City. In the past 100 years, this block has developed from a traditional urban center into a commercial and residential complex, and new buildings have been continuously constructed next to historical relics.

Although the memories of the aborigines and the street incidents have gradually faded in the wave of urban renewal and major demolition and construction, this picture has recorded the traces of the lives of each generation and the changes in the streets and lanes in the long torrent of time. It reconstructs and reproduces the urban experience of Changsha city culture and history for local residents or outsiders in the city, and forms an image of the city in which everyone retains their unique explanatory perspective but also has a common emotional experience.
